(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Government and people wish to consolidate traditional and multifaceted cooperation with Algeria, which is a priority in the Southeast Asian nation’s foreign policy, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Monday. The Prime Minister presented a memoir titled “Family, Friends and Country” written in French by Vice State President Nguyen Thi Binh to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

For his part, President Bouteflika said both nations should keep nurturing their traditional amity and highly valued outcomes of the talks between the two PMs, especially the agreement on tightening links in fields like politics, economy, culture, education, defence, and security.
He also expressed his support to Vietnam’s stance on peacefully settling disputes in the East Sea with respect to international law, ultimately ensuring peace, stability, and maritime security and safety in the region.
At another meeting the same day, the Government leader asked the Vietnamese Embassy to work harder to enhance Vietnam-Algeria relations while expecting the expatriate community to help popularise the land, culture, and people of Vietnam in order to expand mutual understanding between the two countries.
