VFA Chairman Huynh The Nang said Vietnam has exported 4.57 tons of rice in the past 9 months of the year, up 21% in volume and 18% in value compared to last year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said rice exports will remain stable thanks to increasing demands from the Philippines and Bangladesh.
Vietnam is consistently one of the 5 largest rice producers in Asia. It intends to produce more than 44 million tons of rice this year.
