People just need to place their forehead 3cm from the device and show their QR code. The device automatically reports their temperature and risk level and sounds an alarm if an unacceptable risk is detected. The project was directed by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Hong Quang.

"Individuals who work at checkpoints face a high risk of infection since they meet hundreds of people per day. If the economy opens up, there will be about 6 million facilities that have to scan QR codes, according to the Ministry of Health. This new device can replace people and limit human exposure," Quang said.
