(VOVworld) – A stamp designed by Vietnamese artist Vu Kim Lien will be issued by all 10 ASEAN countries on August 8th, 2015, to celebrate the 48th anniversary of ASEAN and the formation of the ASEAN Community by the end of this year.
This stamp won first prize at an ASEAN stamp design contest held in Thailand last month. The issuance demonstrates postal cooperation between Vietnam and other ASEAN states and publicizes the establishment of the ASEAN Community.

Following the ASEAN motto of “One vision, one identity, one community”, the stamp uses the ten flags of the ASEAN members to make up a five-petal flower, below which are stylized yellow bristles, representing the huge potential of the agricultural economies of ASEAN members.
