Vietnamese State President’s visit to Japan to further boost bilateral cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - The visit by Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong and his wife to Japan next Monday takes place at a very important moment in the bilateral relationship when both countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

Addressing Thursday’s regular press conference, Pham Thu Hang, a spokesperson for the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the visit will further deepen bilateral political, diplomatic, economic, trade and investment relations and promote cooperation in new fields including green transformation, innovation, digital transformation thus serving the interests of the two peoples for peace, cooperation, development and prosperity in the region and around the world.
During the visit, President Thuong will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, meet with the Emperor and Empress of Japan, senior Japanese leaders, address the Japanese Parliament, and attend a ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
