A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Wednesday evening to honor outstanding individuals and collectives with the title “Students with Five Good Performances” in the 2020-2021 school year and to present the 2021 January Star Award.
The Vietnam Students' Association, a trusted friend of generations of students in Vietnam over the past 72 years, has established 288 branches at schools in 28 cities and provinces and 12 branches abroad. Through a variety of activities, the Association has promoted Vietnamese students who are knowledgeable, skillful, and creative and ready to play a role in Vietnam’s international integration.
"The Association’s fine traditions are a source of pride and inspiration for us to strive forward to contribute to national construction and defense and realize the 13th National Party Congress’s resolution. I urge all Vietnamese students to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings to love the Fatherland, love the people, love socialism, love work, love science, and respect discipline. These teachings are guidelines for every young Vietnamese intellectual and for all Vietnamese students and citizens," said Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Vietnamese Students Association, at the ceremony.
