Vietnamese tea industry aims to raise product quality
(VOVworld)-The local tea industry is forecast to face more challenges in terms of credit access and barriers from foreign markets in food safety and pesticide residue rules.
Chairman of Vietnam Tea Association, Doan Anh Tuan, said that the industry will improve product quality and bring in more added value: “The tea industry will improve packaging and reduce the number of intermediaries. More communications will be done to raise the awareness of tea planters. We have cooperated with the ministry of agriculture and rural development to publish user friendly guides in tea plantation and processing.”
