(VOVWORLD) - First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan held a virtual dialogue with young people and children at 70 locations nationwide on Tuesday.

He briefed participants on policies of the Party and the State, related to young people and children, as well as operations of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union in caring for and educating the youth, while listening to their aspirations and proposals. He said the Youth Union will organize more online quizzes on the web portal of youth innovation ideas, to help connect and support young people to realize their ideas.
“We’ll choose feasible ideas every month and send them to relevant agencies for consideration and application with respect for the authors’ intellectual property rights. Firstly, we will set up a mechanism to connect demands for cooperation,” Tuan said.
Tuan talked about measures to push ahead with digitization.
“Digitization is a compulsory task in the future. Youth Union branches have to access basic digital infrastructure. Now we organize online meetings with 64 branches at the provincial and city level. The Union has worked with UNESCO Vietnam to organize training courses on digital transformation and capacity building for young Vietnamese people, firstly Youth Union cadres.”
