(VOVworld) - Around 200 enterprises from Vietnam and Laos took part in the Vietnam-Laos Trade Fair which opened in Laos’ capital Vientiane on Friday.

Vietnamese goods on display at the fair include pharmaceutical and medical equipment, industrial machinery, construction materials, ago-forestry-fisheries products, processed foods, garments and textiles, handicrafts, interior furniture, plastics, and consumer goods. According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu, the fair is a good opportunity to promote brands, boost exports and expand market share in Laos and the northeast region of Thailand: “The fair is an opportunity for management agencies to meet and learn more about the difficulties facing enterprises. It is also a chance for enterprises to look for new business opportunities. More fairs of this kind will be held in the future”.

A number of cooperative agreements were signed at the fair.
