He made the remark at a ceremony to mark the 4346th anniversary of the Republic of Korea's Independence Day on Wednesday. The two countries’ political determination and the establishment of their strategic cooperative partnership in 2009 have created opportunities for bilateral cooperation to prosper. The Republic of Korea has become Vietnam’s biggest investor with more than 3,200 businesses operating in Vietnam. Hack said that relations between HCM city and its Korean partners have yielded positive results and people-to-people exchanges have been expanded: “After 20 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea has developed steadily in all areas including politics, economics, culture, and society. I will try my best to contribute to bilateral ties in the future.”
