Vietnam-RoK relationship expected to grow stronger
(VOVWORLD) - The elevation of Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in late 2022 opened up a new period for more practical, effective, and comprehensive development, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai told his Korean counterpart Choo Kyung-ho during a phone call on Thursday.

Mr. Khai called on Mr. Choo to continue his support for and contributions to bilateral cooperation, suggesting that the two countries should maintain regular delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels and step up collaboration in national defence, security, and the economy.
Deputy PM Choo was also asked to incentivize Korean firms to expand their investment in Vietnam, especially in infrastructure, electronic devices, semiconductors, big data, bio-technology, and smart urban development, with attention paid to the transfer of technology and capital.
Deputy PM Khai called on the RoK to admit more Vietnamese guest workers, expand labor cooperation, increase aid to Vietnam, especially in research, development, and innovation.
He proposed stronger collaboration in telecommunications, IT, e-government, digital transformation, the digital economy, the green economy, and the circular economy. Mr. Choo said he hopes to re-visit Vietnam soon.
