(VOVworld) – Vietnam-Russia trade ties have seen positive signs, said the Trade Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow Pham Quang Niem on the eve of an inter-government meeting at Deputy Prime Minister level in Vladivostok from September 5 to 7.

Mr. Niem said bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, and investment was developing. Bilateral import and export turnover reached 4 billion USD in 2013 and 1.76 billion USD in the first 6 months of this year. The senior working team of Vietnam-Russia priority projects has effectively worked, bringing great investment prospects for the two countries.
Mr. Niem said the Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang, will chair a business workshop on September 16th to boost cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.
