Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre’s world class potential: President
(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang has called for efforts to transform the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre into a world class research facility as he addressed a ceremony celebrating the organization’s 30th anniversary in Hanoi on Wednesday.

President Quang praised the Centre for its contributions to promoting scientific research and socio-economic development, and ensuring defense-security in each country, thus strengthening the traditional friendship and strategic cooperation between the two nations. He urged the Centre to uphold its strength, expand cooperation, and improve scientific and technological activities to serve military, defense, and socio-economic development of both Vietnam and Russia. To mark the occasion, President Quang presented a third-class Military Exploit Order to the Centre and a Friendship Order to Andrey Kuznetsov, general director of the Centre.
