Vietnam’s agriculture grows steadily despite pandemic
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s agriculture is developing steadily despite COVID-19, contributing nearly 15% to national GDP and maintaining a growth rate of 2.7% last year, according to the 1st national dialogue on ensuring food security held virtually on Tuesday.
Delegates agreed that while ensuring food for its nearly 100 million population, Vietnam’s agriculture export totalled more than 41 billion USD in 2020. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said the Government is doing its utmost to achieve the dual goal of containing the COVID-19 pandemic and boosting socio-economic development.
