Vietnam’s daily COVID-19 infections drop by 1,000
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 5pm on Saturday to 5pm on Sunday, Vietnam recorded 3,528 new COVID-19 cases, down 999 cases compared to the previous day. Among the new infections, 15 cases were imported and 3,513 cases were recorded in 41 provinces and cities. During the day, 113 patients died.

The number of recoveries on Sunday is 21,398, raising the total number of cured cases nationwide to 782,199.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Vietnam’s caseload has hit 839,662, ranking 41 out of 223 countries and territories. Calculating the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 155 out of 223 countries and territories with 8,529 cases for every 1 million people.
