Participants reviewed the sector’s contributions to Vietnam’s national construction and defense and lessons learned from its 75-year performance. They also devised a development plan for Vietnam’s diplomacy until 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
Mr. Minh highlighted Vietnam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, multilateralism, and integration.
“Vietnam went from a country that was not drawn on the world map to secure a growing status globally, playing a leading role in numerous international organizations and being a responsible member of the international community," he said.
"Vietnam, from a country griped by sanctions, has established strategic and comprehensive partnerships with 30 countries, including those which are strategically important to Vietnam’s security, on the basis of respect and mutual interests."
Mr. Minh noted that Vietnam has become a key chain in global and regional economic links and has participated in major free trade agreements, which give huge opportunity to drive its own economy forward.
