Vietnam’s economy attractive to foreign investment: foreign media
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is a rising star that meets all the criteria for improving its economic image and attracting more foreign investment, according to an article in The Times of India.
The article noted that Vietnam has been getting a lot of attention for managing to control the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnam is fast emerging as the preferred destination of multinational firms, The Times said, adding that Vietnam is revving up its economic engine and has already restarted domestic tourism.
The American website Axios.com says Vietnam was one of the first countries in the world to re-open with few restrictions, and is already enjoying a flood of foreign investment. Singapore’s Channelnewsasia said the COVID-19 pandemic was a test for all systems in Vietnam, and Vietnam passed it with high ranks.
The Canadian news agency Geopolitical Monitor ran an article praising the use of digital technology to fight climate change in the Mekong Delta, while Bloomberg said Vietnam’s rice shipments in May jumped 42% year-on-year, to the highest level since 2009.
Malaysia’s The New Straits Times Online said Vietnam's long coastline and strong winds make it a potential future global leader in offshore wind-energy generation.
