Vietnam’s export to grow in coming years
(VOVworld)- The National Assembly’s External Relations Committee organized a workshop on the National Assembly’s approval and implementation of Free Trade Agreements in Thua Thien Hue province on Monday. According to a representative of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, free trade agreements will help Vietnam’s exports to increase by more than 20% in the coming years. Tran Van Hang is Head of the National Assembly’s External Relations Committee:“The negotiations and signing of international treaties are part the National Assembly’s External Relations Committee’s supervisory activities. So, it’s important to help National Assembly deputies learn more about the FTA and their impact on Vietnam as well as the National Assembly’s role in negotiating and signing these agreements. It will also help to promote the legislative body’s role in the international integration process”.
The participants analyzed the regulations and processes of the new-generation free trade agreements and the National Assembly deputies’ responsibilities in approving Vietnam’s commitments. They discussed the opportunities and challenges facing Vietnam’s private sector.
