(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s total foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 20.3 billion USD in 2014, up 19 per cent, according to a report of the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Agency.

The report said 12.3 billion USD was disbursed for FDI projects and that the manufacturing and processing sector accounted for 71.6 per cent of the total, with 770 new projects worth 14.5 billion USD. Among 60 countries and territories investing in Vietnam, the Republic of Korea lead with 7.3 billion USD, followed by Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
