Vietnam’s forestry exports expected to reach 2020 target of 12 billion USD
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Administration of Forestry has forecast that Vietnam’s forestry exports will hit 12 billion USD based on growth momentum in this year’s first half.

In the first six months of 2020, export revenues of forestry products were over 5.3 billion USD. Among all sectors, forestry made the largest contribution to agricultural growth and exports so far this year, according to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan.
He added that major countries and markets have raised their bars on assessing forestry production and exports. Mr. Tuan asked the Vietnam Administration of Forestry to work closely with relevant agencies to help businesses settle their trade disputes, especially on plywood products.
