(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam earned less than 2 billion USD from fruit and vegetable exports in the past seven months, a decline of 12 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Friday.

Major export markets for Vietnamese fruits and vegetables include China, Japan, the US, the EU, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, and Canada.
The export values of most Vietnamese fruits have fallen, including dragon fruits (down 6%), bananas (down 9.5%), durians (down 71%), and watermelons (down 38.5%), while lychee exports increased sharply (up 109%).
