(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of 6.5 billion USD over the past 7 months, much higher than the 2 billion USD figure in the same period of 2019, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Ministry’s report on Vietnam’s production, industry, and trade showed positive signs from Vietnam's vegetable and fruit import markets when the country’s export value of vegetables and fruits reached 1.76 billion USD.
While Vietnam's exports of these items to the Chinese market fell sharply, exports to other markets increased strongly, including South Korea, Thailand, the US, and Japan.
