The Institute on Friday released a report at a Hanoi seminar entitled "Inflation pressure in 2022 and policy recommendations”. The report said that although inflation is not a big problem now, inflation pressure has been felt more clearly and will continue to persist in the remaining months of the year.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, deputy director of the Institute for Economic and Policy Research under the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, called for bolder measures to recover the economy.

“Besides maintaining stability and reducing inflationary pressure, as there is still room for policy adjustment, we can still be bolder in implementing the Economic Recovery and Development Program set out by the Resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government, or implementing the public investment package. These are the foundations for recovery and stability in the following years," Viet said.

"Simultaneously, remove obstacles facing the business environment, create equality between economic sectors and types of businesses, so that they can strengthen cooperation and participate more deeply in the global value chain and take advantage of the Free Trade Agreements that Vietnam has joined,” he added.
