Vietnam’s mass inoculation against COVID-19 to begin in March
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is set to begin mass inoculation against COVID-19 next month with frontline health workers, the elderly, and high-risk groups in line for the first doses.

The Ministry of Health said in addition to efforts to develop homegrown COVID-19 vaccines, it is negotiating with Russian and US suppliers to purchase vaccines.
The Ministry said that along with the 30 million doses purchased from AstraZeneca and 30 million doses supplied by COVAX, the global initiative to ensure rapid and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines for all countries, Vietnam will still need 150 million doses this year to ensure adequate vaccination of the population.
