(VOVWORLD) - The image of Vietnam’s National Flag was screened on the Nam San tower and the City Hall in Seoul from 19h30 to 23h00 on Saturday to mark Vietnam’s National Day.

This is the first time that Seoul has screened the image of Vietnam's national flag. Many Vietnamese, South Korean people and foreign visitors celebrated Vietnam’s National Day. Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Nguyen Vu Tung said the event has deepened the relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea amid the rapid growth of bilateral ties in economics, political, culture, and diplomacy.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba organized an event to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Park in Havana. In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Thanh Tung highlighted the historical significance of September 2, 1945 when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, opening a new era for national history. The Ambassador highlighted President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the nation.
Rolando Julio Rensoli, Vice President of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba said President Ho Chi Minh’s life, career, ideology and revolutionary activities as well as the consistency and staunch spirit of the Vietnamese people have inspired the Cuban people.
Cuba’s media covered Cuban leaders’ congratulatory messages on the occasion of Vietnam’s National Day and praised Vietnam’s development achievements and staunch spirit.

The Vietnam Arts-Culture Association in the Czech Republic organized a program on preserving and developing Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognized cultural genres such as Bac Ninh folk duet singing, Phu Tho xoan singing, and Nghe Tinh vi dam chants.
Pham Gia Hau, President of the Association, said that culture workers, especially those in the Czech Republic really want to do more to help the next Vietnamese generations be able to sing Vietnamese songs fluently and help them learn Vietnamese better in order to preserve Vietnamese language and Vietnamese culture.
