Vietnam’s National Day observed overseas
(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand hosted a reception on Thursday to mark the 70
th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), and the 40
th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and New Zealand.

In his speech, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Dung reviewed Vietnam’s achievements over the past 7 decades. He hailed the strong growth of Vietnam-New Zealand’s comprehensive partnership over the past years and highlighted Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to New Zealand in March, noting that the visit reflected the determination of the two countries’ leaders to strengthen bilateral ties.
The Vietnamese Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macao, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran held similar celebrations to mark the event.
