(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held Tuesday in Hanoi to announce Vietnam’s Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) 2014. PAPI is the largest time-sequenced national governance and public administration performance monitoring tool in Vietnam, exclusively based on citizens’ experiences with the aim of improving Vietnam’s governance and public administration.

In 2014, the PAPI report randomly collected opinions from 13,500 citizens nationwide on six dimensions: participation at local level, transparency, vertical accountability, control of corruption, public administrative procedures, and public service delivery. The report indicates a reduction on the first dimension while the rest slightly increased or remained unchanged.
