(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang held a working session with the Ministry of National Defense on border security in Hanoi on Tuesday.

He said that safeguarding national defense and sovereignty is an essential task for the party and state in the current stage of development. He stressed the need to build a people-based defense system for national unity. President Sang said that the Party and State have accelerated international cooperation in settling border and sovereignty issues and creating an environment of peace and friendship with neighboring countries.
