(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization organized a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday to launch Vietnam’s Pharmaceutical Sector’s Development Strategy until 2020 and vision toward 2030. Under the strategy, by 2020, Vietnam aims to provide sufficient medicines for health care and treatment and ensure that the domestic pharmaceutical production can meet 80% of total domestic consumption. By 2030, Vietnam plans to ensure that domestic pharmaceutical production can meet local demands, especially specific remedies and Vietnam will be able to produce sufficient vaccines for disease prevention while the drug testing and distribution network will be developed in the same par with other countries in the region.
