(VOVWORLD) -Germany’s Die Welt newspaper ran an article Wednesday hailing the policies Vietnam has applied over the years, calling them the reason Vietnam is a dynamic and attractive destination for foreign investors.

According to the article, Vietnam is a prime example of what adopting private ownership and reforming the market economy can achieve. Vietnam has eliminated extreme poverty, it noted, and said Vietnam today is one of the most dynamic countries in the world, with abundant opportunities for businesses and hard-working people.
Vietnam’s GDP has increased six fold since the beginning of reforms. From a country that was previously unable to produce enough rice for its own people, Vietnam has become one of the world's largest rice exporters, and one of the most important exporters of electronics, the article noted.
