(VOVworld)- The spokesperson for the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Hai Binh on Saturday answered reporters’ questions on Vietnam’s reaction to the US’s imposition of anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese shrimp exporters. Binh said: “ The US Department of Commerce’s imposition of anti-dumping tariffs on Vietnamese shrimp exporters is unfair, runs counter to trade liberalization and the fine economic and trade ties between the two countries and is not in line with the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership. We affirm that Vietnamese enterprises neither dump their exporting shrimps on the US market nor cause, threaten to cause material losses for the US shrimp industry. We hold that all trade activities between the two countries need to be reviewed objectively, equally to protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese shrimp farmers, producers, processors and exporters as well as the interests of American shrimp consumers, importers and distributors”.
