Vietnam’s Reunification Day celebrated in Chile, Russia
(VOVWORLD) -A ceremony to mark the 43rd anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam was held in Santiago, Chile, on Saturday.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Chile Nguyen Ngoc Son highlighted the significance of the victory in Spring 1975, which led Vietnam to a new era of independence and reunification. Mr. Son applauded achievements in the Vietnam-Chile comprehensive partnership. He said Vietnam has become Chile’s largest trade partner in ASEAN with bilateral trade reaching a record high of 1.28 billion USD last year. The Embassy is working with Chilean businesses to establish the Chile-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce. It will also implement projects to introduce Vietnam to the wider Chilean public.
On the same day, Vietnam’s Reunification Day ceremony was held by the Vietnamese War Veterans Association in Russia.
