Together with level 2 field hospitals, the team will contribute to providing humanitarian assistance activities, helping UN Peacekeeping Missions to carry out their tasks, maintaining peace, rebuilding the country, and bringing peaceful and stable life to indigenous countries.

This is the first time Vietnam has sent an engineer team to the UN peacekeeping operations. It is the unit-level formation with the largest number of members ever participating in UN peacekeeping missions: 184 soldiers (including 21 women).
