(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s tourism potential and cuisine are being highlighted at the 87th International Tourism and Gastronomy Expo (DIJON CONGREXPO), which opened in Dijon, France, on Wednesday.
Vietnam is attending as a guest of honor to introduce its food, traditional handicrafts, and tourism products to France and the rest of the world. Le Y Linh of the Viettravel travel agency said: "I hope Vietnam’s gastronomy will be named a world’s intangible cultural heritage. Vietnam’s Embassy and the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France attended this event to popularize Vietnam’s culinary art."
The Expo will continue until next Saturday.
DIJON CONGREXPO is one of the six largest international fairs in France and has been held annually since 1921. Each year, the event attracts approximately 200,000 visitors and 600 enterprises from 80 countries around the world.
