Vietnam’s tourism sails through COVID-19 storm
(VOVWORLD) - 2021 continued to be a turbulent year for the tourism industry as the COVID-19 pandemic evolved complicatedly, causing prolonged disruption of the tourism service linkages, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The tourism industry closely coordinated with ministries, sectors and localities across the country to focus on the "dual goal" of fighting the pandemic and restoring tourism in the new normal.
In 2021, the sector implemented a domestic tourism program that adapts safely and flexibly and effectively controls pandemic with the theme "Safe travel - Full experience". As a result, tourism activities in the localities started to prosper, domestic tourism is gradually recovering.
In 2022, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will continue to research and advise on policies to support businesses and employees in the tourism industry; complete the tourism system planning until 2030, with a vision to 2045. In addition, the sector will support the local development of tourism products toward "each province has a unique tourism product"; promote digital transformation, develop smart tourism and apply information technology.
