(VOVworld) - Vaccines produced in Viet Nam were eligible for export and this has brought Vietnam numerous opportunities to develop its vaccine production industry, said Truong Quoc Cuong, Head of Vietnam’s Drug Administration at a press briefing on Friday in Hanoi. Cuong said the Ministry of Health will organize a ceremony in Hanoi on Monday to welcome WHO recognition of Vietnam’s National Regulatory Authorities (NRA). In April, a group of WHO experts conducted an official assessment of the control functions of Vietnam’s National Regulatory Authorities. The specialists said Viet Nam had met international vaccine-management standards and its is expected that Viet Nam will become one of the world's leading vaccine producers in 20 or 30 years time. Vietnam is among 39 countries that have met WHO's strict vaccine standards.
