(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said that millions of workers have been trained and provided jobs over the past three years since a project on vocational training for rural laborers was launched.

Mr Nhan, who heads the program’s steering committee, called on provincial authorities to establish steering boards at commune and district levels, provide vocational training in combination with job generation, and increase laborers’ incomes. Leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Vietnamese Farmers’ Association answered questions about production loans, financial support for vocational training, and outlets for the products made by rural laborers.
