Vietnam-UK’s 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties marked in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Friday to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the UK.
Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Vietnam-UK Friendship Association Hoang Van Dung underscored that the two countries’ bilateral ties have constantly been promoted in the past 45 years with encouraging cooperative results in various fields.
The UK Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward noted activities to celebrate 45 years of Vietnam-UK diplomatic ties, including the UK Royal Navy's ship HMS Albion’s arrival at Ho Chi Minh City’s international port, the UK Festival in Hanoi, and the visit of Duke of York, Prince Andrew to Vietnam. He said such activities are of great importance to promoting ties between two countries in the coming time.
