ASEAN countries hope to increase tourist arrivals to the region to 121 million by the end of 2017, 10% higher than last year. Tourism revenues are expected to reach 83 billion USD. At the forum, member countries discussed cooperative programs, focusing on strengthening air links, boosting cruise tourism, and developing tourism’s human resource skills.
Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu said Vietnam’s delegation will discuss with other members ways to make tourism a key economic sector based on each country’s potential and openness of ASEAN community.
