(VOVworld) - Russia hopes Ukraine's national parliament Verkhovna Rada election on October 26 will bring long-awaited political stability to Ukraine.

Responding to questions on the “Russia Calling” forum on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he believes all people living in any part of Ukraine should enjoy the full rights envisaged by the norms of international and Ukrainian law, against any discrimination on language, ethnic, or religious grounds. Putin said this is the only way for Ukraine to preserve its territorial integrity and become united again and to ensure economic and social development. He added that Russia hopes very much for that and will make every effort to ensure it.
