Voters: long-term solutions needed for socio-economic development
(VOVworld) – Many voters have said that long-term solutions and a master plan are needed for national development following discussions at the ongoing National Assembly session. Employment is one of voters’ major concerns.
Tran Quoc Dinh of Hai Ba Trung district in Hanoi said that the government needs to generate jobs for young people, particularly in rural and ethnic areas, demobilized soldiers, and university graduates. He said that “Job generation creates the conditions for society to advance. There are many students who still can’t find a job after graduation. Creating jobs for young people is essential.”
Voters agreed with the deputies that people’s living standards had improved in recent years but proposed that there should be practical measures to protect the interests of farmers and consumers. They also hoped that the National Assembly and the Government would increase inspections and deal resolutely with major corruption cases.
