Voters praise the National Assembly’s stance on the East Sea
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung addresses the closing of the 7th session of the 13th National Assembly
(VOVworld)- At its 7th session, the 13th National Assembly released a Statement stating that China’s placement of oil rig Haiyang 981 in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf violated Vietnam’s sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction. The National Assembly called on Vietnamese citizens and soldiers and overseas Vietnamese to resolutely reject China’s violations. In his closing speech at the session, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung highlighted Vietnam’s view on the situation in the East Sea. Ha Thanh Xuan is a voter in Yen Bai city.“The National Assembly stressed its determination to defend the nation’s sea and islands. We fully support the National Assembly’s stance in defending the nation”.
Voter Pham Van Sinh in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province says he supported the National Assembly’s opposition to the illegal placement of China’s oil rig Haiyang 981 in Vietnam’s waters. He expressed his confidence in and support for the Party and State’s stance on safeguarding territorial sovereignty by peaceful and flexible means in line with international law.
Voters in Gia Lai province praised the National Assembly’s Statement on the East Sea and expressed their determination to defend national seas and islands.
