(VOVWORLD) -OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023, which is expected to attract 5,000 professional athletes and enthusiasts at home and abroad, will kick off on April 23 in the southern city of Vung Tau.

The tournament organizers include the Vietnam Journalists Association, the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Young Entrepreneur Electronic Magazine.
The Organizing Committee met with representatives of running clubs on Friday evening in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce the tournament. Participants will compete in running distances of 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km.
Pham Xuan Linh, Director of OneWay Marathon Vung Tau, said: “We want to promote and develop the running community through a marathon tournament aimed to become a standout race in southern Vietnam. Participants will be able to pass through beautiful scenery and famous landmarks of Vung Tau, and experience the daily life on both sides of the track.”
