Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son, Zora Karmazin Blumlova, a representative of Czech Republic radio, and leaders of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic attended the event. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien said this is the 10th bureau abroad VOV has opened to provide key information about the local Vietnamese community and their country of residence to listeners in Vietnam and around the world. Mr. Tien said:“The opening of a VOV bureau in Prague stems from the fact that the Czech Republic has a strategic location in central Europe, where more than 65,000 Vietnamese people are living and working and are recognized by the Czech government as a 14th ethnic minority. The Czech Republic has a traditional relationship with Vietnam and plays a key role in Vietnam’s foreign policy of openness and comprehensive international integration.”
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the Vietnamese Embassy in Prague will create favorable conditions for VOV operations.
VOV has opened 10 VOV overseas bureaus in Russia, France, Thailand, China, Egypt, Japan, the US, Cambodia, Laos and the Czech Republic.
