The two sides will cooperate in communication of Party guidelines and State policies on humanitarian and Red Cross activities and the International Humanitarian Law. The two sides will also mobilize resources for humanitarian activities hosted by the Vietnam Red Cross and promote humanitarian activities among the public living both inside and outside of Vietnam.
VOV will sponsor communication for the “Humanity Tet” and “Humanitarian Month” launched by the Vietnam Red Cross.
In her address, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Bui Thi Hoa said the coordination program will maximize the strengths of the two sides’ potential and their desire to spread inspirational stories of life.
“We hope that VOV’s humanitarian programs and publications will reach people and families throughout regions both at home and abroad, helping attract the public to the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s humanitarian activities,” she added.
VOV President Do Tien Sy highlighted VOV’s contributions to humanitarian activities over the past years and expressed his hope for further contributions in the coming years.
“I believe that with the power of communication, with a rich tradition and with many journalism genres and platforms, stories about humanitarian and charitable activities will be highlighted further,” he said.
Mr. Sy noted that the signing of the coordination program is also an opportunity for the Voice of Vietnam to spread stories about Vietnamese humanitarian activities in deeper, more comprehensive ways, and in a more thorough and impressive manner.
“Together we will complete our missions and contribute to Vietnam’s national development.”
