(VOVWORLD) - The Voice of Vietnam’s former base at Nguom Chieng Cave in Cao bang province’s Trung Khanh district has been listed as national relic sites.

Nguom Chieng Cave was one of many locations nationwide that served as transmission backups for the VOV’s radio broadcasting from 1966 to 1978. It was also a workplace of the VOV staff during the resistance war against the US. VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien addressed a ceremony on Wednesday to receive the national status certificates.

Mr. Hien said: "Voice of Vietnam was proud to station in Nguom Chieng Cave for 12 years and managed to ensure our broadcast to listeners at home and abroad. Its recognition as a national relic will educate the Vietnamese and our staff about the broadcaster’s tradition.”

The same day, the scenic landscape of “Mountain God’s Eye”, part of the UNESCO-recognized Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark, was also listed as the national relic. It is linked with a system of 36 inter-connected lakes, along with surface and underground flows.
