VTC officially merged to the Voice of Vietnam
(VOVworld) – The television broadcaster VTC was officially merged to the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) at a ceremony on Saturday attended by representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communication and VOV.

According to memo between the two sides, on July 1st, 2015, the Ministry of Information and Communication officially handed over the VTC to VOV with function of communicating policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and serving for people’s education and entertainment.
Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Bac Son said VTC with 15 channels will be great advantages for VOV. The merging is in line with the Party’s policy of restructuring press agencies from now until 2025. VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien said merging with VTC will open opportunities for VOV to further develop.
