Cyber security and water management were also discussed at the IPU Young Parliamentarians Forum on Sunday. Vietnamese delegates proposed measures to effectively manage water resources, stressing the need for parliaments to adjust their laws and policies on water management. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, said: “Water has a great impact on our lives. There are many rivers that flow through different countries, so if we lack cooperation, there will be negative consequences. If we think and act together, this will no longer be a problem based on the harmonization of all countries’ interests.”

The Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments also convened on Sunday to seek a more effective model to assist parliaments.
