(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Executive Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Philipp Rosler in Hanoi on Wednesday. He said that Vietnam places importance on cooperation with the WEF and has actively taken part in all its activities.

 

 

He thanked Mr. Philipp and the WEF for supporting Vietnam’s initiative to host the WEF Mekong Conference in 2016. He asked the WEF to help promote Vietnam’s image, encourage major economic groups to invest in Vietnam, and coordinate with Vietnam in organizing the WEF Mekong Conference. He also proposed that the forum support Vietnam in improving its competitiveness and business environment and develop its agriculture sector sustainably.

Philipp Rosler pledged to help Vietnam promote its image at WEF conferences and hoped that Vietnam would consider the possibility of hosting the WEF East Asia Conference in the future. He was also received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.
