White House confirms the death of Osama bin Laden's son
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump in a statement announced by the White House on Saturday said late al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's son Hamza bin Laden had been killed in a counterterrorism operation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.

Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda had confirmed to be behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US. The US Navy SEALS killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011 during a raid on his Abbottabad, Pakistan, compound. The US Department of State said Hamza, the 15th son of Osama bin Laden, had took over the leadership of al-Qaeda.
